The History of Gags
Gags have been used for various purposes throughout history, including as a means of punishment, torture, and restraint.
One of the earliest recorded uses of gags can be traced back to ancient Greece, where gags were used as a form of punishment and restraint. In the Middle Ages, gags were often used as a form of torture, particularly during the Inquisition, when they were used to prevent accused individuals from confessing to crimes or heresy.
Gags have also been used in theater and entertainment, such as in silent films and pantomime performances, where they were used to convey emotions and convey meaning without the use of spoken dialogue.
In modern times, gags are often used in BDSM (bondage, discipline, dominance, submission, sadism, and masochism) and other forms of role-playing and power exchange, where they can be used as a means of control or for the purposes of pleasure and arousal.
